I just finished making this sculpture! This is my late dog Juno, a Goberian (golden retriever/siberian husky mix). The frisbee kanji says "sachi", Japanese for happiness, good fortune, good luck. Check out my video here.
I formed white polymer clay, baked at different stages, painted it white then hand painted with acrylic paints and glazed it. Very time consuming but fun! I can make a custom figurine like this of your dog or cat and it can be worn as a pendant, charm on a bag or an ornament!
This is a hand painted pendant I made last night of my late dog Juno (a Goberian). I formed polymer clay, baked and used acrylic paints, glazed and hung on a copper bail. I can make custom pendants like this of your pet :)
One year ago from Hurricane Sandy, carbon monoxide gas entered our house from generator fumes and my late Alaskan Malamute Balto saved us from the fumes by warning us by pacing and crying. He started seizing, I panicked, grabbed the leash and walked him for 15 minutes down the block in 65 mile per hour winds with tree branches falling and dirt hitting me in the face. Then I stayed in the RV with him to wait until the fumes were out of the house. If I didn't do that, he would've died and we would've been in trouble too if it weren't for his warning. He passed away this summer from old age...
Beautiful weather today! We went to Smithpoint Beach. It was nice and empty. Took some photos and a video. We had a great time, and so did Yuki! If the video doesn't show up above, you can watch it here!
Black Lab dog charm I made out of clay. I think I'll call these, Maneki-Inu! Based on the Japanese maneki-neko, in a chibi kawaii style.
I gave Yuki my version of a contour trim today! Well, it's not the standard way a contour trim is done, I call it - natural contour trim! It was not easy (he still hates being groomed). I trimmed his entire underside the same length Balto's fur was, took out some of the undercoat, trimmed his mane around the ears, thinned the coat under the arms and legs. I think it came out pretty good ^_^
